Braiding Beauty

Her strength lies in her heart, mind and spine. Reinforced with love from the divine. She rebuilds her center with bone muscle and sinew. Braiding herself beautifully together as life continues. It is in the breaking that we are building and re-making a path for our own awakening. Graciously, gorgeously, growing. Gathering ground she steps forward in her knowing. As she is recovered and discovered anew.

This piece is about rebuilding and moving forward after physical and emotional challenges. We walk with our wounds and as we heal, we grow more wise and beautiful, piecing ourselves back together. Akin to the concept of Kintsugi, "golden joinery," the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold or silver. Instead of hiding damage, the technique highlights fractures, celebrating the object's imperfections as part of its beauty, embodying the philosophy of wabi-sabi. Finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence. May we do that with ourselves. She is wood fired with colored slip. The Finished piece has gold leaf on the sides of the hair, down the braid and surrounding the hole in the center and is also painted with gold acrylic accents. This vase holds water for fresh flowers. Dried flowers or feathers can also be used. Dimensions: 15.5" H x 5.5" W 5.5" D $425

She waits for you within. You can recognize her by the thin golden light shimmering on your skin. She dwells in the warm, quiet water of the womb. The seeds of creativity, waiting for the conditions to be just so for the potential to bloom. Balanced elements of sun, water, air and soil. Take a breath, listen and feel. She will reveal a force of fire so bright and blazing. Words whispered through the fire speak of consciousness raising. Passionate prose un-caged. Beauty pours forth lovingly on the page. Wisdom of the age. Lusting, busting through. Terra firma with colors of brilliant gold, purple and blue. She is your divine nature. Speak to her and she will answer. She is waiting. Dare to dive deeply into your inner Divine. You are the one you’ve been waiting for. Time to glisten, glow and shine. This is my interpretation of the goddess Venus. She is the inner guide of creativity that leads us to the gifts we are meant to offer this world. Glaze with gold acrylic paint. The belt has crushed opal inlay and she is adorned with fresh water pearl, pieces of abalone and shell. The entry way into the mystery. The crescent moon headdress symbolizes the goddess of the moon and also the horns of the bull Taurus, who is ruled by Venus and appreciates beauty, luxury, art and pleasure of the senses. The vase hold a tiny bit of water for a small flower. Dimensions: 15"H x 4.5"W at the widest part. $445

Mouth of God

The Mouth of God is a chakra point in the back of the the throat chakra, located at the base of the skull. It functions as a specialized cosmic antenna and gateway for higher-dimensions of consciousness and the place where divine inspiration is channeled. As humanity's collective consciousness evolves, this dormant gateway is actively waking up to help people process higher frequencies of spiritual information and telepathic intuition. To me this has a connection to the royal star Aldebaran. The guardian of the eastern sky. Home to the Silver Gate, a portal where souls travel as they descend to earth. Working with the energy of Aldebaran helps facilitate the transformation of our minds into higher levels of consciousness and enlightenment. As higher dimensional frequencies come into through the Mouth of God we bring them out with beauty to world through our solar plexus, our place of personal power. This piece holds water and flowers can be places in Mouth of God portal and the basket in the front. Decorated with glaze and acrylic. Finished piece is show with adorned headdress of silk ribbon and gold colored beads. Dimensions: H 15" x W 5" $425
